We are sailing out from Reykjavik old harbor today in hopes of finding some whales. The wind will be blowing from the south so there will be some movement on the boat.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The rain did not give us a break on this tour and the left over swell, which had reduced considerably overnight but could still be felt as we sailed west out into the bay of Faxaflói. It was not bad conditions as we headed out, a bit of swell yes but did not feel the wind that much until we had to turn back towards the harbour. We had a nice selection of birds flying around the boat and soaring on the winds close to the waters surface. Northern gannets were the best, large white birds, black wing tips and a yellow head that flew close to the boat on a few occasions. Other birds included; red throated diver, common guillemots, razorbills, cormorants, seagulls and fulmars. Unfortunately, however no whales, dolphins and porpoises so we offered our passengers complimentary tickets in the hope they will use the tickets for another whale watching tour in Reykjavik or Akureyri in the next two years. Really hope the weather and the whale sigtings will get better soon.
