We sailed out from Hafnafjörður on this tour because we saw many seabirds from land as we were driving to Keflavík this morning. However, by the time we were there all the birds had disappeared. We sailed very far out into Faxaflói Bay, further than we have been in a long time to try and find something. We did get word from another whale watching vessel of some dolphins which one of our crew spotted one once. On the way back to the harbour one of our passengers did spot some Harbour Porpoises but they only stayed with us a little while before finding something else to do. What we did see though were some Long-tailed Ducks which I have never seen before so I was thrilled about seeing them. Other seabirds we encountered were Gannets, Fulmars, Glaucous Gulls, Black-backed Gulls, Kittiwakes, Guillemots, Eider Ducks, Cormorants and Shags. Weather was also very interchangeable today too going from gorgeous blue skies to snow storm to blues skies to sunset. So nice to see the snow capped mountains too. Well lets hope we haven't seen the end of the Humpies. Better luck for tomorrow.

We sailed out again from Keflavík this cold morning. The weather was cold but beautiful with the sun and snowy mountains around us. We searched for a long time without any luck. Not so many sea birds were in the area but we saw few, such as fulmars, Iceland gulls and gannets. Complimentary tickets were given and we hope for better luck next time.
