Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey & Elding: Due to the high number of passengers booked for our 1 pm tour, we went out with two boats. The se conditions this afternoon were even more perfect than this morning, the sea flat like a mirror. Elding left the harbour first followed by Eldey. First both boats had a look at a small group of white-beaked dolphins, 4 individuals which seemed to be to females with their offsprings. We stayed a while with them and they seemed to be resting and were quite relaxed. Then Elding decided to go further out since we haven't had such great sea conditions very often lately. Eldey spent a bit more time with these dolphins before moving on to another group of the same dolphin species, this time it was 3 individuals. They also were quite relaxed and swam underneath us a few times and showed some bow-riding behaviour - always cool to see that! After leaving these dolphin we saw some more of them in the distance but decided to go further out as well. It got more and more foggy but before heading back to the harbour, Eldey saw about 10 more of the white-beaked dolphins! They seemed to be just everywhere today! However, Elding was less lucky than Eldey. They went far out into the bay but only came across a pod of about 4 harbour porpoises before than ran out of time and returned to the harbour. Therefore, the passengers on Elding were offered complimentary tickets to come on another tour for free within the next two years!

Report from Eldey: Such an awesome tour this morning. As soon as we ran away the fog from the city we encountered the first animals of the bay, almost right in front of us. They were harbour porpoises, and the pod included almost 10 individuals which were quite easy to spot and follow for a few minutes. After that, the tour consisted in almost two hours without any luck, but that changed as soon as we headed again right into the mist. The white beaked dolphins appeared and, again, they were everywhere. At least 40 individuals were around the area, into different pods of about 7-8 individuals each. Some of this pods were enjoying a really nice day, and they prove it to us as they were jumping continuously in front of us, or even just about 5 meters away from our boat! A really nice and beautiful way to start this misty morning!
