Tour at 13:00

Again we left from Keflavík harbour but the humpbacks were no longer in the area where we left them this morning. We searched for quite a while till we found a group of nice and interesting white-beaked dolphins. Later we went to an area where we saw many birds feeding. There it was quite rough and the passengers had to hold on tight. But it was it worth it! Soon we saw two minke whales feeding. One was even lounge feeding and once surfaced underneath a group of feeding birds. Than we spotted a blow and surprise surprise, one of the humpback whales we saw this morning - or maybe an entirely different one - showed up! It did us a favor and breached once to the excitement of our passengers! Again we had a nice tour!

It was very windy today. So we decided to leave from Keflavik harbour so we could stay in the lee of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Lucky we did because we had great sightings today! Right after leaving the harbour we spotted a group of white-beaked dolphins. As we enjoyed them we spotted a blow not far away. We had found the two humpback whales which we had been following some days ago!!! No question, we went and stayed for a while with them till we saw a lot of dolphins jumping in the distance. We started searching for minke whales, but we only spotted one, once, which we did not see again. Later we found the humpbacks again, but quite far from the area where we left them. This time they were very close to shore, just ten to twenty meters from the cliffs close by Keflavík. They were travelling quite fast. A nice morning, even if it was rather windy.
