Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: After a cancelled day before, we were eager to head out on a relatively warm day (well after the minus 10 degree conditions we have had the last couple of months anything over 0 was warm). We sailed out an ocean with no wind but some residual swell from yesterdays storm. We went to the area Flak our friendly humpback whale was seen on Thursday and very happy to to find he was still there chopping away. Flak the humpback whale was paying no mind of us and just the movements on the shoals of small herring/krill he was feeding on, occasionally surfacing close and coming up continuously in different places around the boat. Everyone got a great look and pictures too. Once other whale watching boats came over we left and searched a little inland for seals and got to see 2-3 grey seals and 1-2 harbour seals. The bird life was also amazing, red-breasted mergansers and a great northern diver feeding in the harbour and guillemots, seagulls, fulmars, red throated divers, eider ducks and cormorants out close to where the humpback was feeding. A Wonderfull tour!
