Report from Eldey: Amazing afternoon on the water. The day was full of minke whales, with at least 4 whales around the boat. Once we arrived our best viewing areas, many minkes were being sighted, feeling the strain in the neck whilst twisting and turning the head to make sure every surface was seen. Minkes even approached the boat and were visible within 20m. White beaked dolphins also made an appearance, showing a range of behaviours that include some acrobatic leaps and much more restful and slower paced surfaces.

Report from Eldey: Very pleasant weather this morning, a little cold but there was almost no wind. We saw about half an hour after we left the harbour a pod of three white-beaked dolphins. They were very relaxed around us and came close and even jumped out a few times. Another pod of three white-beaked dolphins joined and so we had very good sightings of this species. We left them in search of a different species, and sailed accross the bay. The autumn light was soft and beautiful, piercing through clouds and sprinkling over the landscape. After a while just admiring the landscape and not seeing any other signs of whales we started going back towards land. On the way back two minke whales appeared and so we were able to see this species too, a very succesful trip!
