Report from Elding: Beautiful weather continues to accompany us on this tour as well. Not even 7 nm from the harbour we came to a stop as we saw a young humpback whale and minke whale in the same area. The humpback whale surprised us and came up to the surface 10 meters of our starboard side. This curious individual stayed with us for some time, but then it was time to leave it be. We spotted a small pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins that were passing by in the area. Some of our passengers even saw the tiny, 2-3 harbour porpoises that swiftly traveled next to the boat at one point. All in all, a great afternoon to be out at sea, enjoying wildlife, sunshine and simply being on the ocean.

Report from Elding: What a beautiful weather situation we got ourselves into this morning. Sun and clear skies are indeed a great way to start the day (and hopefully finish it). It took us half an hour to start seeing things on the horizon and soon enough we were surrounded by wildlife. We saw around 5 minke whales and 6 humpback whales in total, plus 3-4 white-beaked dolphins. At first the humpback whales were very busy feeding and didn’t give us a chance to see them well so we stuck around a very relaxed minke whale that was at a point 10 meters away from the boat. We however ended the tour with a bang as we saw a few dolphins interacting with a pair of humpback whales and at the end a third one joining the pair. Unique behaviour that we don’t see that often. A tour to remember.
