Tour status: RUNNING

Tour at 17:00

Report from Eldey: Beautiful weather was lasting through all day tours. Again it was hard to keep our eyes away from landscape and to focus at the water surface. Evening was much calmer in terms in activity as only few birds flew by on the sky. We had two false alarms, first when we got a call from other boat about mysterious dolphins and second when we saw a minke whale surfacing only once. At the end, under setting sun we found a pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins. It was a postcard-photo moment but as it was all what we saw, our passengers were offered complimentary tickets to come again.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: Flat seas, no trace of clouds and huge visibility were our welcoming for our afternoon trip. As we could see very far away we headed towards an area full of northern gannets that were actively feeding and as we well know that's one of the best sign of cetacean presence. A nice pod of 4-5 white beaked dolphins surprised us when we were trying to track a minke whale, so we had two species in the same spot! Later on, and after enjoying dolphins for a while, we carried on to discover 2 more minke whales in a vast area. The way back was so smooth that more than one of our passenger took a well deserved nap under the sun.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Eldey: Sun was spoiling us this morning with great light to highlight all details of the landscape, specially fresh snow like a sugar frosting on the mountain tops looks amazing. Ride wasn't that smooth but with passing time sea became calmer. Northern gannets were flying above us so we knew that finding cetaceans is a matter of time. Soon after we saw some dorsal fins passing between waves. Pod of 6 white-beaked dolphins was feeding and we keep them company. We went further to search for more and we found one more pod 4 of dolphins, later on another one and finally a minke whale. On the way back we saw some more dolphins passing by and blows from other whales making this trip interesting till the very end.
