Status: RUNNING

Today we are sailing out from Keflavik. We expect wind from the southwest between 12 and 16 m/s and swells.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: We decided to sail from Keflavík today because of the strong wind from southwest. We were sheltered by the Reykjanes peninsula during most part of the tour so the sailing was very smooth. We searched towards the tip Garður and then turned with the swells towards northeast. Even though we had good visibility and saw big flocks of seabirds we didn't manage to find any cetaceans on todays tour. The whales and dolphins were simply somewhere else today and that is wildlife, you never know what is gonna happen. We ended the tour in Hafnarfjörður and gave all passengers complimentary tickets valid for another whale watching tour. We are probably gonna depart from Hafnarfjörður tomorrow but make sure to always check in with our tickets office before departure if you are joining us.

Bird species seen on todays tour include: northern gannet, northern fulmar, "blue fulmar", greater black-backed gull, glaucous gull, Iceland gull, kittiwake, shag, eider duck and red-throated diver.
