Tour at 13:00

What a day! We sailed out from Grindavík today to try our luck. We knew that the capelin was close by. As soon as we left the harbour we saw lot of fishing boat in a distance, all at the same spot! So we headed to that area but on our way we spotted killer whales! There were only 3 of them together, one male and two females. We saw them surfacing few times but we really wanted to go towards the boats. Once we were getting closer we saw a huge splash! A breaching humpback whale little bit far away! And when we got closer we counted five humpback whales. We could get very close to two of them that were feeding together, and we stayed with them the whole tour. They were feeding just 2 meters away from the boat, rolling in the surface, showing us the side flippers and the fluke so many times! There was one humpback little further out as well showing us the fluke at the same time. This was just incredible! Brilliant tour!
