Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: It was one of the coldest days so far this winter. Air was sharp like ice but clear sky, with shinning Sun and calm sea definitely made being outside it worthy. We sailed between islands around Reykjavik, checking carefully all the corners where we were seeing whale last days. Around shore we couldn't find anything beside one seal so we sailed further out, exploring deeper waters of Faxafloy. It was beautiful to just be on the sea with such a calm weather, we had amazing views including Snæfellsjökull. There was many birds following us and we found big flock of northern gannets, sky diving with a big splash. Around them we saw surprisingly big pod of harbour porpoises, around 20 of them, divided in smaller groups. Sadly, porpoises were shy and disappeared as soon as we approached. We spent some extra time making sure that there is nothing else and slowly headed home. It was our very first unsuccessful trip in a long time and we were more surprise by that than disappointed. Our passengers were offered with free return ticket so hopefully, our good sightings will be back tomorrow.
