Status: RUNNING

We are sailing out from the Old Harbour today. There is a little wind so there could be some movement on the boat out on FaxaBay

Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out into the Faxa Bay, with a really nice weather and a beautiful sun reflecting over the sea. IT was a quiet and pleasant travel, in comparison with the previous one. But unfortunately no whales nor dolphins wanted to show up during the tour. The weather also changed on our way back and got more and more rough. We even got the bad news that all Northern Lights tours where about to be canceled tonight as well. Looks like this bad weather insists in chasing us, but we will beat it! And our dear passengers will have the opportunity to come back again an see the amazing wildlife that we've got in this bay, thanks to some  complimentary tickets they got at the end of the tour.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Eldey: On this very cold morning we got to enjoy a beautiful sun rise right above Reykjavik and the Blue Mountains - one of the last opportunities since our 9 AM Whale watching tour will stop in December. Hoping to find cetaceans today after a couple of unsuccessful days, we again had to give up our search and return to the harbour without having encountered any of these amazing animals. Well, in fact there were 1-3 harbour porpoises around but they disappeared after just a few seconds. Of course we handed out complimentary tickets to everyone to give our passengers the chance to come on another tour for free and hopefully they will get to see some bigger wildlife than the seabirds we saw today.

Bird species seen on today's tours include: northern fulmar, Iceland gull, glaucous gull, great black-backed gull, cormorant, razorbill, and eider duck.
