Tour at 13:00

Report from Eldey: The wind had picked up from the morning but we sailed out hopeful to see some animals. Our first encounter was with a minke whale that only came up twice so only a few passengers got a chance of seeing it. We waited for a little while to see if we could spot it again, but we unfortunately did not. Next we saw some harbour porpoises,  it was hard to say how many but around 7 at least. They popped up a few times before heading away. Those were our only encounters of this tour sadly and as we were not satisfied we gave our passengers complimentary tickets so they can come and try again.

Report from Eldey: Once again a morning of amazing colours around us to start off the tour. We sailed for about 40 minutes to the West when the captain spotted a pod of 10-16 white-beaked dolphins. The excitement grew on board with all the children we had on the tour as the mammals came closer and closer to us. At some point they were jumping out of the water in front of us. This was a lovely encounter and a really nice way to start off the day. In the adjacent area there were 2 minke whales of which one popped-up just 12 meters in front of us! We all had a good look and even managed to take a few good photos of the "Leviathan". A nice bonus round we had when a group of school children from England saw a fin slashing the surface; indeed it was another minke whale. The cheerfully exclaimed: "We found it before the crew!", which was a delightfully cute scene to witness. :)
