Due to the weather getting worse out in sea, we will have to cancel the whale watching tour at 1 o'clock today.

Report from Eldey: Thankfully the wind was not as strong as yesterday, this allowed us to sail again from Reykjavík. The swell was still high so the ride on the bay was rocky. When we got far out the bay the birds activity, most of them soured in the strong wind but we hardly ever saw them diving for food. The wind picked up during the tour, many white caps build up which made spotting challenging. On the way back to harbour we got a brief sighting of 6-7 white beaked dolphins. They only surfaced a few times before the disappeared between the swells. As this was our only sighting on the tour we decided to give out return tickets to all of our passengers, hopefully they will be luckier next time with the animals of Faxaflói.

Birds seen on today´s tour include; northern gannet, northern fulmars, kittiwakes, common guillemots, glaucous gulls, iceland gulls, eider ducks, great cormorants, greater black-backed gulls, sooty shearwaters, red-breasted mergancer.
