Tour at 1300

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind had picked up a bit from this morning but it was still a wonderful day as we left the Reykjavík harbour this afternoon. But this time it took us a long time to find something. We sailed around along the Reykjanes peninsula for more than an hour until we finally spotted lots of white-beaked dolphins in an area where there appeared to be plenty of food. They were swimming around fast, changing their course frequently and some of them interacted with the boat, diving under it, breaching beside it and showing off. All of a sudden time had run out and we had to go back. Time flies when you're having fun! Good sightings on a beautiful autumn day.

Report from Hafsúlan: It was a beautiful morning as we headed out on a calm bay. The sun was on the rise and the sky was mostly clear and blue. As we had sailed for about half an hour, splashes were spotted in the distance. We approached them and it turned out to be several pods of white-beaked dolphins. We spent a good amount of time with them before deciding to head further. We found a small minke whale that we got a good look at before we had to head back. On the way back we spotted yet another pod of playful dolphins. All in all we saw around 20 white-beaked dolphins and a minke whale. Awesome morning!
