    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsúla: This morning it was very sunny and icy in Reykjavik. There was a North-easterly wind that kept us cool on the sail out. After about an hour of sailing we saw a 2 blows in the distance. We found a humpback whale! The first one we found was a little tricky taking very long deep dives and then disappearing all together - which is always surprising for such big animals. However we saw two blows so went to investigate the other one. This humpback whale was much friendlier and came up multiple times, often only diving for 2 minutes at a time. It came so close we could hear the blow and see the white pectoral fins! After a while time was up and we started our return journey. On the way back we saw a few more blows on the horizon. The wind had lessened so we could enjoy the sun much more on the way back.

    CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúla: We sailed far out in time to the same area we spotted a whale during the morning tour. The sea was quite calm compared to the previous tour and the sky was clear and sunny. In this lovely condition we spotted few puffins and other sea birds and a blow in the distance. When we got closer we finally saw 1 humpback whale! All the passengers were very happy and excited. We could also hear its blow as it was quite close to us. We saw few fluke dives and really enjoyed this moment admiring the animal. Then we spotted other blows in the distance and we decided to leave this whale alone to check for other individuals. And yes, 1 second humpback appeared and we had another chance to see this gentle giant diving few times. Such a good way to end the tour! We could also see all the amazing landscape that surrounded the whole situation all the time. So nice!
