Tour at 13:00

We decided to try our luck again but we seareched this time far far out in the Faxaflói bay, an area where we usually never go. The tour was about six hours but it was it worth!!! We found several minke whales and a humpback whale. Actually the passengers could smell a minke whale which has a very strong smell. The humpback whale was easy to follow but it was a "lazy" one and didn't want to show its fluke. But the nice thing about this whale was that it never went really deepdiving. So we never had to wait a long time for it to come up to the surface to breath.  Instead we saw it most often just right under the surface and could see the white flippers very well! A long but nice tour!

We searched a large area for whales this morning but unfortunately we couldn't find any. There weren't many feeding birds there either and that could mean that there is not very much food at the area where we usually spot whales. It seemed thad the whales are further out in the Faxaflói bay.
