Report from Eldey: We were still having a taste of summer this afternoon! The wind was still inputting some cold, but calm sea and clear sky made for a pleasant journey out in Faxafloi. About half an hour we spotted a pod of white-beaked dolphins, surfacing calmly on the horizon. We followed these 6-8 indiduals that allowed us close before finding another pod of 12-14 dolphins, that although difficult to see at first, finally came to check out our boat from the side. Nice pictures were taken before we headed out exploring further away; before coming back on our tracks, and meeting another 7 dolphins before going home. No larger cetaceans unfortunately, but we had an awesome time with greath weather and social dolphins!

Report from Eldey: What a beautiful day! We had a wonderfully flat sea, only a little wind and the sun was shining, Conditions were perfect for wildlife watching and we were not disappointed. First we spotted a flock of frenzied feeding seabirds, followed by a few splashes, which led up to a small pod of 2-3 white-beaked dolphins. We watched in awe as they swam around us and continued to feed on the swarming fish. After a while of watching these animals, it was decided to go find some other cetaceans. Two harbour porpoises then popped up and showed us their cute little bodies. After a little bit more searching we found yet more white-beaked dolphins, which were again feeding beneath the birds. This was a larger pod of approximately 6 individuals these wonderful animals came very close to the boat and we could see their beautifully patterned bodies under the water! On the way back it was a calm sail with even more porpoises. What a delightful tour!
