Tour at 13:00: Report from Hafsúlan. We sailed out from Reykjavík, it was a bit windy. We set sail to where we had seen the whales this morning. On the way we see two pods of Harbour Porpoises, probably around 20 individuals together. We didn't stop to watch them but continued sailing. When we get to the area we immediately see a blow from a whale and getting closer we see it is a humpback whale. The second time it came up it was slapping its tail against the surface many times. It was very close to us and amazing to see. We watched it surface a few times, showing its fluke(tail) 2-3 times. Then we had to start heading back but on the way we saw another humpback whale which surfaced 6 times and also showed its fluke. An amazing ending to an amazing tour.

Tour at 9:00: Report from Hafsúlan. We sailed out from Reykjavík, it was a bit windy and the sea was a little rough. We headed towards where we had seen the humpback whales the day before. We sailed into a big flock of birds and decided to have a look around. We saw a blow and when we got close we saw it was a humpback whale. Then another humpback whale surfaced behind the boat and then a minke whale to the side of the boat. Passengers were running around trying to see all the whales. It was a good tour although it was rather cold, the humpbacks both showed their fluke and the minke, travelling rather fast, surfaced close to the boat

Pictures will be coming later today.

Birds seen on the tours include: Black-backed gulls, kittiwakes, Northern Gannets, Eider ducks, Fulmars and a Great Skua.
