Tour at 13:00

We left from Reykjavik Old Harbour today in not the nicest of weathers, drizzily but warmer than it has been in a long time. We headed out to sea in what it felt like to be a roller coaster ride. The swells were quite big today. We sailed along the Reykjanes peninsula for a while and then I got a sudden call from the Captain, 12 O'Clock, 12 O'Clock, yes it was a pod of White-beaked Dolphins (5-7 individuals) surfing in the swells towards us. They were great, surfacing slowly around and under the boat, you could see the beautiful patterns on their body as they swim gracefully through the water. It was really nice encounter and you could see that they enjoyed being around us as we were with them. Unfortunately no larger cetaceans (whales, dolphins, porpoises), Lets cross our fingers for the amazing Orca tomorrow.
