Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We sailed from Grindavík again today, the weather had looked a little worse but we weren´t deterred! We set sail and at first the sea was looking okay, there was movement but nothing to be bothered about. Later on the tour became much more exciting, it was certainly a rollercoaster at times. It was made even better by the fact that the sky was so clear and you could even make out Eyjafjallajökull in the distance. There was some good bird life, a dead Cod on the surface of the water caused some frenzy between local Northern Fulmars, Lesser Black-Backed Gulls and Kittiwakes. Unfortunately we didn´t see any cetaceans on our tour so we handed out complimentary tickets at the end of the tour.

Birds seen on todays tour include: Northern Fulmar, Northern Gannet, Lesser Black-Backed Gull, Kittiwake, Common Guillemot, Iceland Gull, Glaucous Gull.
