Report from Hafsúlan: Still very excited from the incredible morning tour we went out on our boat Hafsúlan in search of the whales and dolphins sighted earlier. We were hopefully to encounter them again on this sunny afternoon. Not long after we reached the spotting area we had several sightings, not only did we encounter at least five minke whales, we also had some very nice spot tings of harbour porpoises very close to the boat. At least two of the whales were identified right away at the sighting area, Peanut and Micro. On our way back many passengers enjoyed the smooth sunny ride towards Iceland´s beautiful landscape.

Report from Hafsúlan: This morning we went out from Reykjaviks harbour in search of cetaceans while it was still snowing. The reflection of the covered sky and barely having any wind were perfect conditions to spot marine mammals. First we traveled alongside the Reykjanes Peninsula, going towards the area where we had encounters with minke whales the day before. None were sighted, which is why we started moving north. It didn't take long until we were surrounded by minke whales. At least two of the minimum 4 individuals were identified as Tap and Peanut. Unfortunately we had to leave them behind, since we were running out of time and had to go back home. On our way we encountered 2 pods of white- beaked dolphins. Overall an unforgettable trip, that had everything you could wish for, a harbour porpoise, several minke whales, pods of dolphins, snow, sunny weather and calm sea.
