Report from Eldey: The visibility was amazing this afternoon and the sun was shining during most parts of the tour. We could easily see the Snæfellsjökull volcano at the tip of the peninsula north of us. For a moment it felt that the summer was back, but the cold northern wind soon set our mind back to winter feeling. Our first sighting was a single white-beaked dolphin that came up to us and stayed around the boat. We could see the rest of the pod further ahead so we started going towards them. We didn't caught up with the dolphins instead we found a minke whale! We found it by the big splashes it caused when feeding. We got really good views of this whale and later we found two more minkes. The last whale surfaced close to the boat 3 times, giving us the opportunity to get some nice pictures of it. The sailing back was smooth and the sun was warming our faces!

Report from Eldey: A chilly northerly wind on this morning´s tour, everyone made use of the free overalls onboard and kept warm in the saloons when possible. We had a wonderful encounter from 2 pods of busy white-beaked dolphins. 1st pod of about 3 individuals that come towards us and under the boat a few times for all passengers to see and the 2nd pod was a little larger with about 6-8. They surfaced more frequently and played in the wakes and at the bow of the boat. Playing in the pressure waves. Unfortunately no minke whales this morning but plenty of birdlife. An overcast and chilly morning but lovely dolphins.
