Tour at  13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind turned to the north but it felt calmer as we found a sheltered area behind mount Akrafjall as we were sailing along the coast towards Akranes. There were still some birds to be seen and some of them accompanied us for a while flying in the air currents close around the boat. But unfortunately the birthday wish of a six year old child on board was not full filled to meet a whale this afternoon so it remains the hope that everybody will be lucky to observe them next time with their complimentary tickets.

Tour at  09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The cold wind was blowing from the northeast and the waves were white capped. The sun was shining almost the whole tour through as it was only slightly clouded. We found many different species of birds on different parts of Faxafloí as we scanned a big area in search of cetaceans. Unfortunately they didn't made us the pleasure to show up. Hopefully everybody will get the chance to meet them within the next 2 years with the complimentary ticket.

Birds seen on today's tour include: Northern gannets, kittiwakes, black-backed gulls, glaucous gulls, cormorant, fulmars, arctic skua, eider ducks and common guillemots.
