Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: What a wonderful day for whale watching: it was sunny, almost windstill and the visibility allowed us to see all the way to Snæfellsjokull. We found the humpback whale that we know as Flak within half an hour and could enjoy him often as he showed his fluke before going for short deep dives. Sometimes Flak came really close to the boat to give us an up close look of his impressive head and body. In the meantime, a grey seal was popping its head up high above the water and we tried to divide our attention between the humpback whale and the seal as they came up around us. After some time we decided to leave the area to give the animals some space and to see if we could see something else swimming in the bay. We started missing Flak a bit so on the way back we wanted to spend a bit more time with the humbpack whale and were rewarded with a few more up close sighting as the whale continued feeding.
