Tour at 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out from Grindavík today so we first had to drive for about 50 minutes to get to there. This was a beautiful winter day. It was really cold but not so windy and quite strong underswell rocked our boat up and down but luckily for us we never had to go far from land. We spotted a humpback whale quite close to land. It was very elusive, spent long time underwater and traveled long distances along Reykjanes peninsula between surfacing. The humpback whale slowed down very close to Grindavík and that is where we got the best look at the whale. When our time was running out and we had to head back we only had to sail for 10 minuets to get to harbor. It stayed so close to land that it might even have been as easy to watch it from land.
