Tour at 13:00

Very windy today however blue skies and perfect visibility. We headed out from Grindavík today as the land shielded some of the wind. As soon as we left the harbour we saw a massive blow from a whale, as we got closer we saw more blows, at least 4 individuals. Suddenly after about 30 minute boat ride we had our first whale close enough to see the body. It was a FIN WHALE second largest whale after the Blue Whale. We stayed with this whale for a while and had an incredible encounter as it surfaced many times less than 10meters from our boat and on a few occasions only 2-3 meters. Such a rare and breath taking tour. WHOO HOO!!
