Tour at 13:00

In the afternoon we decided to sail from Reykjavík towards Hafnafjörður. We hoped to spot some Whales in this area and the sea condition seemed to be better on that side of Faxaflói Bay. Unfortunately the whales were not around even the sea was calm and it should not been a problem to spot them. The whole Bay seemed to be quiet today and it was kind of beautiful to sail next to the coast that was covered with fog. But of course we all hoped to see whales, so we gave everyone complimentary tickets to try to find them again

Tour at 9:00

A very disappointing morning for both crew and passengers as we has pouring rain throughout tour, quite high swells when heading towards the wind direction and unfortunately no Whales, Dolphins or Porpoises. Most of the fish and cetaceans looks to be on the other side of the Reykjanes Peninsula off of Grindavík and Sandgerði as the amount of fishing boats in that area tell us. However, the weather conditions don't allow us to go from there. Lets hope the weather will be favourable for us to depart from there soon or that the fish and whales will move into Faxaflói Bay. Either way lets hope that something changes soon. Until then we will do our very best to go and search for wildlife in the areas we can go. Seabirds seen include Guillemots, Cormorants, Eider Ducks, Fulmars, Kittiwakes and various species of Seagull.
