Tour at 17:00: Report from Hafsúlan. We headed out from Reykjavík as the weather had gotten better than earlier that day. First we made a quick stop by Lundey (Puffin Island). There were not a lot of puffins today but we saw a few. Then we headed out to look for some whales. The wind was rather strong and soon it got very foggy. We spotted some Harbour Porpoises about 50 m away but they disapeared quickly. After sailing for over two hours we suddenly spot something in the distance. As we get closer we see that it is a pod of around 10 White-beaked Dolphins. We watched them for a little while when all of a sudden in the middle of the pod a Minke Whale appears. It surfaced a few times right next to the boat. It was amazing to see this beautiful animal so close. An amazing tour inspite of the fog. Pictures in the diary were taken by our passenger Nigel Field.
