Report from Eldey: With good good weather everything is good. So is seeing 4-5 minke whales from an enjoyable distance; 7-10 white-beaked dolphins lunging themselves into the air and a giant humpback whale breaching twice in front of our eyes. There isn't really much else to say here. Sometimes the stars align just perfectly for our lucky passenger and the crew and we are able to see these incredible creatures behaving in an incredible fashion.

Report from Eldey: It wouldn’t be a proper Icelandic summer day without a bit of light rain at the beginning of the tour. As our journey developed the weather started to improve as well and it was quite enjoyable to stay outside. Our first sighting of the tour comprised a group of around 5 or 6 white-beaked dolphins. These seemed to be quite active as they were breaching and socializing a lot. It was possible to observe them quite close to our vessel for quite a long while. Later on we ran into a minke whale. However, even though it was possible to enjoy it as it re-surfaced a few times, this one was on a grumpy mood. As the animal might have been avoiding us, we lived up to our code of conduct and decided to let it be and started searching for something else. Closer to the end of our tour we spotted another minke whale, but it turned out to be just as non-cooperative as the previous one. As we were also running out of time, we had to start heading back towards Reykjavik.

Report from Eldey: After a windless night the sea state was finally calm enough for us to sail out. Going through the long swell was like ridding hills up and down, a nice experience. After enjoying rain and sunlight and rainbow we fund a pod of around 7-10 white-beaked dolphins. First they were elusive, but their curiosity took over and the dolphins were bow ridding. In the midditme we spotted our first minke whale. In total we saw 3 minke whales, all of them were coming to the surface briefly, but as we don't have any control over them, we had to appreciate their wild nature.
