Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: In the afternoon, we sailed again from Reykjavik harbour. The sea had turned even calmer than in the morning and we were looking forward to the tour, since visual conditions were very good. Like in the morning, it did not take us very long until we met a couple of Harbour Porpoises followed by a beautiful Minke Whale that allowed us to stay with him for some minutes before he arched his back to go for a deep dive. When we sailed a bit further more Minke Whales showed up, one of them being just a few meters apart from our ship Hafsúlan. Due to the calm sea conditions, our captain made the great decision to turn off the engine for a while, making us enjoy the sound of the Minke Whale's breath - just amazing! In total, we saw about 15 to 20 Harbour Porpoises and 3 to 5 Minke Whales that definately made our day and once more demonstrated the beauty of Iceland's nature.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: This morning, we started sailing from Reykjavik under beautiful weather conditions. The sun was shining and the sea had calmed down a lot since the day before and we were quite optimistic. After just 30 minutes of sailing, we met a group of 3 Harbour Porpoises and shortly after a Minke Whale. From this moment on, the tour got more and more exciting, we spotted additional Minke Whales and Harbour Porpoises in different directions from the boat. In total, we saw about 15 harbour porpoises and between 6 and 8 Minke Whales - a perfect start into the day.
