Report from Eldey: Today we went from Reykjavík´s Old Harbour again as we expected rather nice sea conditions. There was a bit of swell left giving some people a hard time but it was not too bad compared to the last few days. It did not take a long time until we heard from another boat that they had come across a group of white-beaked dolphins. We headed over to them and found a group of 5 individuals with a few more dolphins scattered over the area. The group included also two calves, and we watched one of them always surfacing very close to its mommy. In the beginning, we stayed a but further away since there were three other boats trying to get a look at the dolphins as well. So we coordinated with the other boats and finally got closer as well. The dolphins split up a bit so the boats spread out as well and we had a group all to ourselves and could spend a long time with them before saying farewell. We searched the greater area for something else before heading back to the harbour in Reykjavík with cold wind in our faces.
