Tour at 1300
Report from Hafsúlan: This time, we left from Grindavík and decided to end the tour in Sandgerði. Within an hour, we had spotted 4 orcas and 2 humpback whales at the west end of Reykjanes. There were lots of birds around, many northern gannets diving for the fish that was present and the whales also seemed to be feeding. As we got closer to Sandgerði, we spotted two more humpbacks feeding and witnessed an amazing feeding session with northern gannets diving from high above head first into the sea. Amazing! One more humpback whale was spotted in the distance before we reached the harbour of Sandgerði. Excellent day at the Reykjanes peninsula but unfortunately with some sea sick passengers again.

Report from Hafsúlan: Again, we left from Sandgerði this morning. After about an hour of searching, we spotted an orca. We hung around for a while and then we spotted three more orcas. They seemed to be hunting or feeding, changing their direction a lot. Among them were two males, a female and a young one. We then headed on to find two feeding humpback whales that came very close showing off their flukes various times. We decided to end the tour in Grindavík and on the way there, we saw a minke whale and one more humpback in the distance. Great tour but a few sea sick passengers on the way to Grindavík.
