Report from Eldey: Winds picked up during our tour this evening and we had again a mixture of sunshine and rain. But we also saw a beautiful rainbow due to this. Ahead of us a few northern gannets were plunge diving and all of a sudden a minke whale surfaced just next to the boat. However, we only saw it once and never again. Then some splashes in the distance caught our attention, which were caused by around 3 white-beaked dolphins jumping out of the water. We headed in this direction, but lost the dolphins for a while, until they surfaced right next to the boat! Again, this was going to be a rather short encounter, seeing them only twice. We kept searching but were unsuccessful on the way back. Therefore, we decided to give our passengers complimentary tickets, so they can try again on another tour.

Report from Eldey: For sure the most adventurous part of this trip was the weather: every 10 minutes we had different conditions: shining sun, dark clouds, rain or hailing! But where is the rain and the sun there were also amazing rainbows. Our search for cetaceans was successful. We had a meeting with 2 minke whales which were bit tricky as they surfaced only few times before vanishing. Then we saw very mysterious blow. It was bigger than from minke but unfortunately this animal didn't want to be seen. It sometimes difficult to deal with wild animals as we don't control their behaviour what also make every tour unique. At the end we found very entertaining pod of 10 white-beaked dolphins. First they were feeding but soon they relaxed and start swimming slowly close to our boat. Few of them even jumped right in front so we had a feeling of a very personal dolphin encounter.

Report from Eldey: Another real Icelandic experience when it comes to the weather on our tour. We started with some sunshine and a beautiful rainbow, but had to deal with some rain as well. Our first sightings were 2 pods of white-beaked dolphins, in total about 6-8 individuals. They were jumping, diving beneath the boat and being very active around us. After enjoying the company of these animals for a while, we kept going and found 3 minke whales. They were surfacing at various points around our boat and one of them was rather easy to follow. From afar we already saw a lot of northern gannets diving into the water and decided to head into this direction. On the way we saw 2 more minke whales and another small pod of white-beaked dolphins. When we arrived to the area there was another pod of white-beaked dolphins, about 8-10 individuals, feeding together with the gannets and 2 minke whales also came up in this area. On the way back we had to face the winds, but saw another minke whale. Another great tour full of wildlife!
