Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan. We sailed out today and the sea was calm and the sun was shining. We had been sailing for about 45 minutes when we saw a humpback whale. We followed it for a few minutes but it was ratther elusive  so we decided to head closer to land. There we found two other humpback whales. They stayed in the same place for a long time, moving very slowly and what a show! We saw them lunge feeding, tail slapping, raising their tail and surfacing very often. We stayed with these whales for as long as we could before heading back to the harbour. It was an amazing tour; good weather, 3 humpbacks and seabirds.

Birds seen on todays tour include: Icelandic Gull, Black backed gull, Fulmar, kittiwake, Eider duck and Long tailed duck
