Report from Eldey: This afternoon we sailed smoothly along Faxafloi. The sky was completely overcast but seastate was almost perfect to spot animals as the visibility was vast and waves were almost inexistent. While we were heading towards our main spotting area, we saw a lot of birds in the distance which caught immediately our attention. Once we got closer a very nice pod of 6-10 harbour porpoises popped up from nowhere and they surfaced very close to our but but, unfortunately, shortly. Our hopes were high in those moments because birds were very active in the area. Nonetheless, after searching for a while we couldn't find anything else. For that reason, we offered our passenger complimentary tickets, hoping to have better luck next time.

Report from Eldey:It's Sunday but not very sunny day. Sky was overcast and thick low clouds were touching tops of the mountains. With fresh snow covering landscape everything looks very dramatic. Some cold wind was present, rocking boat a little bit but wearing overalls we were prepare for that kind of Icelandic weather. We sailed for an hour, being followed by northern fulmars till suddenly I saw a minke whale. We stopped and start waiting for animal to resurface. As for a long time nothing happened we decided to continue sailing and a seconds later our alerted passengers saw animal on our right side. We were able to take few more looks at this animal but it was fast and elusive. On our way back we saw one more minke whale again spotted first by our guest. This one was even faster then previous because first we had it a hundred meters in front of us and moment later it surfaced just right next to our side, less then 10 m. It was surprising and amazing!
