Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

COVID-19: Keep in mind that passengers and crew are asked to ensure their own hygiene and safety at all times. Washing hands thoroughly with soap and using a hand sanitiser is advised. Masks are mandatory in areas where keeping 1 meter distance from others is not possible.

Report from Eldey: We got a white christmas this year after all! Big snowflakes were falling almost constantly, decorating our hats and the deck of our boat, but also hindering the visibility of the sea. We found a few cetaceans, starting with three harbour porpoises and then a single white-beaked dolphin after a while, but the sightings only lasted a very short time. We kept looking around, especially checking the area where we spotted the abundance of marine mammals yesterday but we had no success today. The tour was still a big adventure and a true experience of Icelandic winter, but we want to show our passengers more of the wildlife so we gave everyone a complimentary ticket for another tour.
