Tour at 13:00
Due to the sea conditions we started our tour today from Hafnafjörður. The weather was changing a lot during the whole tour, so we had the full monty from rain showers to sunshine. Just a few minutes after we left the harbour we encountered a pod of Harbour Porpoises really close to the land. We decided just to stay a short time with them, as they are really shy and we hoped to find some bigger Whales. Even we were searching in the whole area between Hafnafjörður and Keflavík, where we ended our tour today, we could not find any other Whale species. After a long tour we spotted close to Keflavík a second Group of Harbour Porpoises but as typical for this species, they have been quite hard to spot. So we offered complimentary tickets to everyone on board, to get the chance to find the bigger Whales another day!
