✔ TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | at 17:00

Report from Elding: This evening we sailed out once more with lots of sunshine and a steady breeze. The waves got a little higher during our trip and it got a little rocky every now and then and we all got to test our sea-legs. It took us almost two hours to spot some splashes far in the distance, very likely from white-beaked dolphins. We tried to get closer to those dolphins but they just did not show themselves again. Therefore we offered our passengers a complimentary ticket to join us on another whale watching tour in the future and hope to welcome them again soon.  Overall it was a very sunny evening and we enjoyed nevertheless.

Report from Elding: After a successful morning, we started our noon tour into Faxafloi Bay with the sun still shining into our faces. What an unusual sunny day it was for Reykjavik standards. It took us about an hour before spotting the first pod of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins. We were able to stay with the animals for a while, wiith one of the animals being relly curious and checking us out, swimming around the boat. The second pod of about 6-7 dolphins we encountered shortly after who also allowed us for quite a few minutes to observe them. When they became too elusive we decided to call it a day and sail back to the harbour. During the tour we were able to observe many sea birds as well, which made the tour overall super enjoyable.

Report from Elding: Aaaaand another beautiful summer day here in Faxafloi. Really flat seas, clear skies and sunshine the entire 3 hour trip. We sailed right into the middle of Iceland's largest bay and found our first pod of 3 white-beaked dolphins. They were obviously occupied with chasing fish and didn't give us much attention so we moved on instead. Sadly, we came upon something we as good as never see in Faxafloi, a dead minke whale. It was still very small so likely a young whale that came here it's first time. Although not a pleasant sight to see, we realize this is nature and death is also a part of it. As if another pod of 8 white-beaked dolphins sensed we needed some cheering up, they appeared and a juvenile began jumping over and over, frontwards and sideways, creating big smiles on our faces. With the pod was one of our regulars called Sophie. And close by this pod we also spotted a feeding minke whale that at a point came so close, we heard it's breath. Enjoying all of this so much, we almost lost track of time and returned to the harbour just a bit after schedule but very happy.
