Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The visibility at the landscape was very impressive allowing us to see up to Snæfellsnes. White and blue were the dominant colours, blue sky, white mountains and a blue ocean with white caps. After a short while we found a pod of white-beaked dolphins which contained around 10 animals or even more. They spent some time diving but the appeared somewhere again so we could watch them a good time. At the end when we decided to leave them there was suddenly one swimming along side the boat, giving us another great look even under water were his white lines along the body where easily visible. As we slowed down he lost interest and probably went to join the rest of the group.

Tour at 09:00

Report from Hafsúlan: We left the harbour during the sunrise and enjoyed beautiful light conditions. There was a cold and strong northeasterly wind blowing provoking some white crest on the blue water which reflected the blue sky. Among a flock of mixed birds a seal swam along and dove down and a while after he was observing us curiously, sticking his head out above the water surface. We continued in search of the cetaceans and found thanks to splashes a pod of white-beaked dolphins of more than 10 individuals. A lot of them have been young ones, not fully grown yet and quite playful. Two looked like they were socializing, chasing each other, regularly leaping in a line, one behind the other while changing their course frequently. Among them was even a calf appearing and after a while just watching their silhouettes against the light we good a nice view at their black and white colouration.
