Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan and Elding: today we went out from Hafnarfjörður due to the swell off Reykjavik and also ended there. We went on two boats due to the number of passengers so that everyone would have as much space as possible on the journey. We left the harbour and headed west; after just few minutes, Gulli the eagle-eyed captain on Hafsúlan spotted a group of 5-6 white-beaked dolphins, to which both boats turned their attention to. Those dolphins showed themselves well, even if they could have been easier to follow as they would spend a lot of time diving and appearing here and there and anywhere. Once they were gone, we went off and continued towards Keflavik and along Vatnsleysuströnd coastline. The visibility was okay for most of the trip so we hoped to find something else but unfortunately, even if we searched all the way to Garðskagi Peninsula and back, nothing else came, although Hafsúlan saw a young common seal very briefly too. Towards the end as we were making our way back to Hafnarfjörður, it was windy and with the current forecast, it looks like it will be Hafnarfjörður again tomorrow.
