Tour at 13:00 The weather was still just as beautiful as this morning but the wind had picked up a bit. We sailed towards the area where we had spotted the minke whale this morning and it was still around :) To begin with the minke whale didn't surface very close to the boat but later it rewarded our patience and surfaced just few meters in front of the boat. We really had to be on our toes with this one as it was moving quite a bit and always coming up in different location, but the great and observing passengers all made it worth the while. We eventually decided to try our luck with the dolphins but unfortunately had no luck. There was no trace of them in the area even though the bird life was still active. Birds seen on the tour: Mainly fulmars and black-backed gulls but also few razorbills.

Tour at 9:00

We sailed out in beautiful weather today, sunshine and just calm wind. After a while sailing we spotted some white-beaked dolphins. Moving further along we came to an area where there were just dolphins everywhere we could look. There were really hundreds of them there and some very active. After a spectacular dolphins show we decided to try our luck and moved further out. We were right there was a minke whale in the area. First we saw just its blow, then the minke whale itself. Even though we had limited time we could observe it well as it surfaced a few times quite close to the boat. In the area we also spotted some harbour porpoises, but only for a short time as our main attention was on the minke. On our way back to the harbour we spotted a few more dolphins so all in all this was a great tour. Birds seen on the tour: Mainly fulmars and black-backed gulls but also few razorbills and some auks.
