 TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Winds had noticebly calmed since our morning trip, so the sail in Faxabay was smooth and visibility great to spot cetaceans. Clouds were high in the sky, giving way to us seeing all the mountain ranges around us. Our wildlife, however, seemed to be on a Sunday stroll further out, making us wait for their appearance. But with a lot of patience and sharp eyes we spotted a pod of likely 6 white-beaked dolphins right by the shorelines of Akraness. Amongst the group were both a juvenile and a calf which were curious at times, even coming to bow ride. What a super pleasant encounter and perfect way to lift the mood on a gray day.

 TOUR ON SCHEDULE  | 09:00

Report from Eldey: It was a bit windy this morning but the sea remained calm this Sunday morning. With many white-capped waves, spotting was tricky, but nothing our experience could not compensate for. Less than an hour into our tour, we encountered a pod of 5 white-beaked dolphins that were hunting after fish together with their juvenile always staying close to an adult. Despite the dolphins moving very randomly, likely after the fleeing fish, they kept jumping through the waves from time to time, making it possible for everyone to see them. Eventhough they remained the only encounter of the tour, they were great fun to watch and follow as they behaved as dolphins should, focusing on themselves and hunting their food to survive. Pure wildlife.
