Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: Out in Faxaflói bay this afternoon we first spotted White-beaked Dolphins breaching in the distance and when we got closer to them they were swimming around the boat for a while and going under it as well. Close by we spotted the first Minke Whale. The Minke Whales were rather difficult today, they usually surfaced only once and then they went for a long deep dive and when they finally surfaced again they had gone quite faraway from us.

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was the same when we headed out again this afternoon, very nice calm sea and the sun was peaking out from the clouds. Soon we spotted a big group of Harbour porpoises. They were not so shy and we could follow them for quite some time and have a good look at them. Further out, we spotted a blow from a Minke whale and in the same area, breaching White-beaked dolphins. The Minke whales were quite difficult to follow because they were diving for a long time, only surfacing one or two times. The dolphins were very nice to us, came very close. Later we spotted 1-2 Minke Whales surfacing a few times. So all together very nice tour whit three species seen.

The weather was quite nice when we headed out this morning. After sailing for some time we found a group of White-beaked dolphins. They were a bit shy so it took us some time to get close to them. But then a few of them surfaced 20 meters from our boat. Further out we spotted on Minke whale and a good one it was. It surfaced many times and came very close to our boat few times. One time it came with the belly up, absolutely amazing.  So we headed back to the harbour with lots of smiling passengers. Very nice tour.
