Report From Elding: We sailed Faxaflói bay today with brave passengers that were not frightened by the rainy weather and the strong wind from the south. We headed to the south of the bay to benefit a bit of shelter and reach an area where a minke whale was seen the day before. We crossed 2 harbour porpoises in the beginning of the tour and 8-10 more harbour porpoises an hour later. One of those small cetaceans showed us a bit of bow-riding. We didn't find any minke whales, but after sailing more to the north we found a humpback whale surfacing calmly really close to the boat. When the whale fluke dived we realised it as TATTOO, one of our most famous whales! We really enjoyed seeing this individual a few times before we came back to the harbour.

Report from Þruma RIB: The weather was way nicer than this afternoon. The rain stopped and the sun came out for our evening tour. The sea was looking better from the harbour but once we were more advanced in the bay, the waves were picking up and the captain had to maneuver constantly the boat to keep the tour comfortable. We went in the same area where Tattoo, the humpback whale, was seen a few hours before. Unfortunately the whale was gone. We search as much as we could in different areas and came back to observe the puffins on Lundey. Because we didn't see the whales we offered to our passengers a complimentary ticket that allow them to come back on a classic tour.
