Tour at 17:00

Report from Eldey: The evening tour couldn't have been better. We had calm seas, no sign of wind and vast visibility. During previous tours we enjoyed fantastic sightings and this one wasn't an exception. We firstly came across with some pods of harbour porpoises popping every now and then, around 6-10 of them in total. Later on, we arrived to a very productive area full of fish and minke whales were waiting for us there, around 10 of them were seen next to our boat and more than 20 in the surrounding area, they were very busy feeding but we had very good moments with them. As we carried on with the tour, we found a pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins but what it was interesting about this encounter were the little calves swimming next to their mother and some of them were very acrobatic. In the way back we enjoyed a beautiful lighting thanks to the sunset.

Report from Eldey: This afternoon we got to see some blue sky what become more rare sighting than cetaceans. Sailing today was an easy ride and animals were giving us great time. Before passing Grotta we saw first pod of harbour porpoises and soon after a minke whale. While watching Minke another pod of porpoises was keeping us company. Our next sighting was amazing: group of 20 or more white-beaked dolphins. Dolphins are always great but this time we saw pod full of calves - very young baby dolphins swimming with their mothers. They were even smaller than porpoises! As we didn't want to stress this fragile animals we continued to watch 3-4 minke whales somewhere else. On the way back we saw again previous pod of dolphins what a was nice joyfully end of this trip.

Report from Eldey: For the tour this morning we had perfect conditions to spot some cetaceans: flat sea, almost no wind, and only very little rain. Very early during our tour we saw a pod of about 3 harbour porpoises, but they vanished rather quickly. Soon afterwards we had a short encounter with a pod of 2-3 white-beaked dolphins, which were surfacing next to our boat. However, they were behaving rather elusive. We kept going and came to an area where we found 5 minke whales in total. They surfaced at various distances from the boat and we also saw a few of them up close! On the way back to the harbour we came across 2 more pods of harbour porpoises, which surfaced a few times in front of the boat. In addition we also saw 2 more pods of white-beaked dolphins, which were doing jumps and being very active only a short distance from the boat. What a great way to finish this tour!
