Reports from Hafsúlan and Elding: For the vast amounts of passengers joining us this morning we took out 2 boats for our scheduled 9am departure. It could not have been better. Sea was calm, wildlife was plentiful and the sun was trying to break through the interesting cloud formations. This diary was mainly written from the perspective of the viewings from our Elding boat but roughly the same was seen. On Elding we saw at least 2 pods of 2-3 harbour porpoises, 4-6 minke whales, there were a pair travelling together that we saw near the beginning of the tour, two of a kind as they surfaced close and on occasion together. Very nice and unusual to see two travelling together. Even though the minke whales were great it was the pod of white-beaked dolphins that stole the show, a group of maybe 15 animals and watching them swim under and around the boat and surface together was just awe inspiring, the sounds coming from our passengers really goes to show you how special a moment can be with these wild animals. A very memorable tour. We are also still seeing 1-2 puffins around but you need to be quick spotting them.
