Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: WHOO HOO! We sailed out today from Hafnafjöður in mirror calm seas albeit a bit of a swell today. The rain stayed off us too for most of the tour too which is always nice. After a hard and tiring couple of months of not too much to show our passengers (big difference from previous years) we finally hit the jack pot. Our first cetacean of the day was a big pod of White-beaked Dolphins maybe at least 40-50 individuals which were swimming around and under the boat leaping in the air and generally enjoying our company as we were enjoying theirs. We stayed with these for a long time until we got word from another whale watching boat about a large whale they saw yes a Humpback Whale. It was about the 14th last January we were starting to see humpbacks from Hafnafjörður so its nice to that they are starting to follow the herring (small fish they like to eat) back here. Lets just hope its the first of many to come. Fantastic day out on the water today. We will hopefully be going from Hafnafjörður tomorrow too if the weather stays good for us so come and join our tour to, cross our fingers, see these incredible majestic creatures again

Stay tuned for pictures and movie.
