Trip at 17:00

An amazing tour this late afternoon. We had very active fedding Minke whales. First we stopped close to an area with two large flocks of feeding birds and we could see a rolling minke whale showing the fluke out of the water then another one jumped in a lunge feeding strike. Then we took the way back to Reykjavik and we stoped close to arund 500 feeding birds. There we had a unique chance to observe a couple of minke whales feeding.

A very good weather during the early afternoon tour. The sun was shining, many puffins to Puffin Island and whales out in Faxafloi bay. We had in fact at least 5 Minke whales, feeding in the area. Birds were spotted in the vicinity of the feeding whales.

This morning we were lucky to have a nice calm sea. We didn't have to sail for long until we spotted some Harbour Porpoises and the crew noticed a few Minke whales in the area although we weren't able to get a good look at them. We then found a group of White-beaked dolphins, which we followed for a while. We headed to another area where there were plenty of feeding Minke whales; we could always see some Minke whales surfacing far from us as well as very close to the boat. A really nice trip :)
