Tour at 5pm:
Report from Elding: Despite the windy conditions during today´s tour, we found shelter staying close to the coast line as much as possible and enjoyed watching the Fulmar´s give us a performance of their gliding expertise to their best. They came within reaching distance to us and we could have a wonderful close look at them. Staying so close to the landscape was a beautiful experience as well, as seeing Esja, Akrafjall and Akranes from the sea view is something not many have the opportunity to. Once we turned so we had the wind behind us, we saw quite a few Puffins swimming in the water or attempting to fly. There were also Arctic Terns, Common Guillemots and Northern Gannets appearing near our boat when flying with the wind currents. Despite having the icelandinc birdlife giving us a show throughout our tour, we did not come across the marine mammals we had hoped to encounter. Thus, we gave out complemantary tickets to all our guests, hoping they will come on another tour with us to enjoy more of our wildlife in Faxafloi Bay!

Bird species seen on today's tours include: Northern Gannet, Northern Fulmar, Lesser Black-backed Gull, kittiwake, Black-headed Gull, Common Guillemot, Black Guillemot, Atlantic puffin, Eider duck, redshank and Arctic Skua.
